The family’s lawyer Vikas Singh claims that a request was sent to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bandra, on February 25, to keep a watch on the actor. Vikas Singh made this revelation while speaking to Republic TV on Wednesday.
The lawyer Vikas even made some claims about Rhea Chakraborty’s involvement in Sushant’s suicide. Those claims include worsening the actor’s mental health, choice of medicines and psychologists for the actor and also about Rs 15 crore mysteriously disappearing from the actor’s bank account.
“Mumbai police’s investigation is going in some other direction. They want to derail the investigation. We had warned the police nearly four months before his death. We told the DCP, Bandra on February 25 that Sushant was under threat and that the kin was afraid for the actor as he was in bad company”, Sushant’s family’s lawyer said.
When asked about action that needs to now be taken, he said, “To my knowledge, the Patna police has made no attempt to arrest her yet. I hope they do it today.”
The lawyer added, “I don’t think others need to be arrested, only Rhea at this point. 306 has 10-year punishment. FIR is detailed. If custodial interrogation has to happen, she has to be arrested.”
Vikas Singh said a complaint has been filed in Patna, Bihar. The lawyer goes on to thank Bihar’s CM Nitish Kumar for giving a green light for registering the complaint which included few big names and also revealed that the police wasn’t ready to file the complaint without CM’s approval. The lawyer also opened up about knowing the truth behind the actor’s death and also backed the Bihar police to provide justice to the family and also added that there is no need for a CBI enquiry until further developments.
