Mumbai Crime Branch summons Badshah once again for disparity in his earlier statements

Rapper Badshah was once again summoned by Mumbai Crime Branch, asking him to appear on 20th August for disparity in his earlier statements.

Few weeks ago, Rapper Badshah was one of the celebrity who was the part of fake social media followers scam. New reports suggests that Mumbai Crime Branch has summoned him again on the disparity in his earlier recorded statements. According to ANI, Badshah will have to reach the Mumbai Crime Branch office on 20th August.

Reports also suggests that the rapper has to answer 238 questions. In the social media fake follower scam, celebrities were accused of creating fake profiles on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube etc to create fake followers, likes and comments. According to Mumbai Officials, Badshah for his song, “Pagal Hai”, paid a hefty amount of Rs.72 lakh for 7.2 crore fake views on his YouTube video.  Mumbai Police will look into the views of the video. It has also been reported that the rapper is holding back facts and derailing the investigation.

Earlier, Chtrbox CEO Pranay Swaroop came under the radar of Mumbai Police Crime Branch. He stated that he has around 30,000 clients to whom his company caters. Chtrbox is one of the leading social media influencers marketing company. Last year it was accused of leaking private data of as many as 49 million Instagram users. Many celebrities like Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone were also accused of having fake followers.
