Hours after Sonakshi Sinha lashed out at Mukesh Khanna for his “distasteful” comments over questioning her father’s upbringing, the Mahabharat actor responded that he had no intention to “malign” her. The actor took to his Instagram handle and shared a lengthy note, that read, “I am surprised you took so much time to react. I knew I was antagonizing you by taking your name from that incident in the famous Karodpati show. But let me tell you I has no malicious intention to malign you or your father who is my senior and I have a very coordial relationship with him.”
He explained further that his statement was in wake of the current generation, which is popularly termed as Gen Z, and complained of them being slaves to “Google world.” He also mentioned that he merely used Sonakshi’s case to spread the word to others that there is vast knowledge preserved in our culture, rather than just Wikipedia.
He concluded by saying, “I regret that I talked about it in more than one interviews of mine… It will not be repeated. Be assured.”
