Sanya Malhotra has lately been in the headlines for her latest movie, Mrs., which has sparked conversations about marriage and patriarchy. A success bash for the OTT movie was recently organized in Mumbai. It was attended by the cast and crew as well as their colleagues from Bollywood. Wamiqa Gabbi shared glimpse from the event, wherein Sanya can be seen happily cutting the cake. She also called the latter ‘mesmerizing’.
The clip shared by Wamiqa from the success party featured Sanya standing in the center with her team surrounding her. She cut a cake and fed it to them with a smile.
Along with the video, Wamiqa wrote, “Celebrating Mrs. (white heart emoji). Mesmerizing.”
Speaking of the movie, Mrs. revolves around Richa, played by Sanya, who is a trained dancer and is struggling in her role as a housewife post her marriage. The film is an official remake of the Malayalam drama The Great Indian Kitchen. The movie is directed by Aarti Kadav and also features Kanwaljit Singh and Nishant Dahiya.
Earlier, Sanya penned a heartfelt note of gratitude on Instagram and thanked the viewers for their love. She wrote, “To all the Betis and to all the Betas, thank you from the bottom of my heart for embracing #Mrs with so much love and warmth… This film is for every woman finding her strength and for everyone who stands beside her. Grateful beyond words!”
