Mona Singh said that she believes an actor’s talent gets noticed despite the box office results. Recently, in an interview with India Today, the actress shared that she was offered quality roles post Laal Singh Chaddha. Mona, who was recently seen in Munjya, starring Sharvari Wagh, said that since Laal Singh Chaddha released on OTT, a lot of people reached out to her.
Mona was also featured as supporting actor in Amazon Prime Video’s Made in Heaven. “A lot of women… reached out to me after Made in Heaven, especially those who have been through domestic abuse. That is the biggest gratification as an actor for me that people begin to resonate with you as to what you’re portraying,” she stated.
Upon being asked if the actor’s craft is dependent on the movie’s performance on box office, Mona recalled that despite Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha failed at the box office, she received many good opportunities because of that film.
The movie also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, and it was a remake of Hollywood film Forrest Gump, which starred Tom Hanks.
