There are various actors who launched their carrier the first time they could have felt disappointed might have been when they were informed that their debut film was being buried. One other actor too did never sheath his sword even after the first attempt failed since he is now a celeb.

When Rohit Saraf’s father died, the boy was only eleven years old. According to the interview he had with Bollywood Bubble, he started off at fifteen, did a Channel V television show and later landed his first starring role in John Abraham’s Banana. They went on endlessly.

He would say, “I nurtured that relationship with everybody hence when I was not taking any job for two years, people would keep on calling me for various auditions but my answer was always ‘No’. Eventually they stopped calling me. Finally, I had to begin from scratch when I heard the production is dead. I used to call casting directors again. Most times they would mock me saying ‘What about your movie?’”

He did not return to his home but instead began afresh and landed his debut movie, Dear Zindagi alongside Alia Bhatt. Rohit was later cast in Yash Raj Films’ humorous drama Hichki and The Sky Is Pink by Farhan Akhtar. Nevertheless, this is where he came to be popular – over-the top!

He stood out in Anurag Basu’s Ludo and even the Netflix series Mismatched which led to his immense fame and a status of a star. Moreover, among guys and girls, the web romantic drama Mismatched dubbed him as national crush and since then the number of his female fans has been increasing. In Vikram Vedha, the actor captured the hearts of many when he took the position of Hrithik Roshan’s brother and has just played his first main role in Ishq Vishk Rebound.

In an interaction with India Today, Rohit Saraf said concerning being called National Crush, “It is an appellation I have privately begun to relish. Yet you still feel a bit weird about it like ‘Oh god! stop it.’ On the flip side, you cannot help but feel complimented in a way. I really love it.
