If we talk about single mothers, then she deserves the first spot. Back when being a single mother was a taboo, she fought and adopted her girls. She adopted the first kid in 2000 and the second one in 2010. We have seen her tearing up in a couple of events while reading her daughter’s essay on adoption or at her daughter’s farewell party while she gave a speech.
Karishma Kapoor
Karishma Kapoor had a very overly hyped divorce with Sanjay. They had two kids together and they stayed with Karishma. She single-handedly raised them and we have often spotted her in their school activities and a couple of holidays too. They also attend events with her. We might soon see her daughter making an entry in Bollywood.
Amrita Singh
Amrita Singh and Saif got married when Saif was pretty young. They had two kids together. However, things did not work out between them and the couple called it a quit in 2004. Raveena Tandon was only 21 when she adopted two girls. She says that she was less of a motherly figure to them and more as a friend to them. She also adds that they have grown together and learned to live life together. She shares her mistakes with them and tells them not to repeat it. Later she got married and had her own two kids. Now her adopted daughters are happily married.
