Anil Arora, the father of Malaika Arora, ended his life by committing suicide. And hours after the entire incident, there come reports that suggest police recorded the statement of her mother Joyce. Reports suggest that Anil died by suicide by jumping off the terrace of his Bandra residence around 9 am today. If reports are to be believed then, Malaika’s mother, in her statement to the police, said that Anil would sit on the balcony and read the newspapers every morning. She also informed the cops that while they were divorced, they started staying together again for the past few years.
However, in her statement to police on Wednesday morning, Joyce said that when she saw her ex-husband’s slippers in the living room, she went looking for him on the balcony. She said she did not find him in the balcony, leaned over and saw him below. She even said the building watchman was shouting for help. She also revealed that he was not ill, and only had some knee pain. She told that he had taken VRS from the Merchant Navy.
Malaika had once revealed that when she was 11 years old, her parents parted ways. Post the separation, the actress and her younger sister, Amrita Arora who was 6 then were brought up by their mom.
