This year’s IFFM, the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, will be facing its award ceremony on Friday in the Australian city. Bollywood celebrities, who are thronging the festival, also stepped out on the roads in Melbourne to enjoy the company of each other.
The IIFM event, in which Malaika Arora is also participating, got an Instagram tribute from the star, who shared some snapshots of the city. In one of the pictures, Malaika can be seen leaning against a wall on a Melbourne street and posing with a number of other Bollywood celebrities including Karan Johar, Kabir Khan, Kartik Aaryan and Kill-fame Lakshya, ex-film critic NewsX and Dharma Cornerstone Agency COO Rajeev Masand among others.
Malaika wore a black crop top, brown mini skirt and matching overcoat, black leather pants while Karan had donned a black t-shirt, blue denims and matching jacket.
Kartik was seen in a grey suit and his director of Chandu Champion Kabir Khan was in a navy blue jacket and blue denims. Thus, for his IFFM debut, Lakshya was in grey jacket and black trouser. Again in one of the pictures from the photo gallery Malaika was seen walking hand in hand with Karan with his arm around her. She also posted a photo of city view from the hotel room.
The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2024 being the festival’s 15th anniversary will have its ceremony on the 16th of August at the Palais Theatre. The film Dunki’s and Jawan’s star, Shah Rukh Khan is a contender in the Best Actor category this year. Some of the other contenders for this category are – Vikrant Massey, Fahadh Faasil, Ranveer Singh, Kartik Aaryan, and Mithun Chakraborty. Alia Bhatt has been nominated for Best Actress in a Film for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. She will be in direct competition with Jyothika, Parvathy Thiruvothu and young talents Nitanshi Goel and Pratibha Ranta of Laapataa Ladies.
OTTs top contenders; Heeramandi, Poacher, an upcoming web series and Made in Heaven season 2 . The festival started from August 15 and will last up to August 25.
