Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, is all set to make her Bollywood debut this year as she has already started working on multiple projects. During a recent interview, Maheep talked about Shanaya’s aunt, Sridevi, who was considered to be first female superstar of Bollywood, and revealed that it was her who got Shanaya’s ears pierced. Maheep added that it was because she herself was pretty paranoid onto doing it. She also added that the late actress was much better at handling girls.
In her interview with Filmfare, Maheep described Sridevi as pure magic. She recounted the actress gracing Karwa Chauth celebrations with a regal aura and was always nurturing in nature. Maheep shared that it was Sridevi who first pierced Shanaya’s ears, handling the process effortlessly despite her own initial apprehensions.
Maheep also talked about how upon her refusal of getting Shanaya a phone, considering that she is too young for it, it was Sridevi who bought one for her, reasoning that if Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor had phones, she should also have one.
She also mentioned leaving her children to Sridevi’s care, whenever she had to travel with her husband. While the late actress had a special way of handling girls, Maheep’s son Jahaan Kapoor, would often play and jump around at her home, leaving Sridevi overwhelmed.
