Subash Ghai’s Khalnayak is considered as one of the most iconic Bollywood movies and when the rife about its sequel surfaced over the Internet, we surely couldn’t hold our excitement.
Though the buzz about the 1993 remake is hitting the town, Dhak-Dhak girl Madhuri Dixit is clueless about the sequel that is on the cards. In an interaction with IANS, when asked if she would like to continue with the story that revolved around criminal Ballu, the cop Ram and his girlfriend, officer Ganga, she said, “That’s news to me. I have no idea. It is a surprise for me.It depends on the script, how they are planning to do, where they want to shoot. I think we will take things as they come.”
She also unveiled that she hasn’t given a thought about sequels or remakes of the films that she starred in and rather believes that it depends on the film-maker. She stated to the same portal, “I think it’s up to others.”
Khalnayak marked a turning point in Sanjay Dutt’s career and after 27 years of it’s release, the movie is still considered as one of the most loved and admired among cine-lovers. The ever-green songs of this movie are still so fresh in our memories and especially the hit dancing number “Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai” which grabbed negative limelight and stirred the controversy.
