Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar donates Rs 7 lakh to Maharashtra CM relief fund

Directorate Common of Data and Open Relations (DGIPR) of the Maharashtra government shared the news on Twitter on Saturday. “Bharat Ratna @mangeshkarlata has given Rs 7 lakh to #CMrelieffund #COVID_19 Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has expressed gratitude toward her for the assistance,” the tweet read.

DGIPR said the CM has too requested the individuals of the state to contribute to the battle against COVID-19. Recently, actor-producer Priyanka Chopra given cash and urged the worldwide community to assist India, which she said is “dying” due to the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. Many celebrities have ventured forward to assist individuals either by giving reserves or by utilizing their social media account to intensify SOS calls. Maharashtra on Friday detailed 62,919 new COVID-19 cases raising the by and large count to 46,02,472.
