Lara Dutta wants to do good roles says, “Don’t feel the burning need to be constantly seen on screen”

Lara Dutta wants to give equal importance to her work and life rather than working in more films

Bollywood actress and Miss Universe Lara Dutta in an interview with PTI revealed her priorities and choices in her life. She has seen big successes in her life from winning the Miss Universe Title in 2003 to becoming a leading lady of Bollywood. She has worked with almost every big superstar of the industry like Akshay Kumar with whom she debuted in Andaz, Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan. But her priorities have changed since she married tennis star, Mahesh Bhupathi in 2011 and her daughter Saira’s birth in 2012.

Now she is more than just a Bollywood actress. She is an entrepreneur, a producer, a mom, a wife and an actress. Managing all such important portfolios requires time and care. Hence, she has now become choosy while doing films and only work on scripts that she likes the most. While talking to PTI she said, “I juggle between multiple roles — a mother, an entrepreneur, an actor, and a producer — and I want to give all the things equal amounts of importance and time. So when the right project comes I will do it. I don’t feel the burning need to be constantly seen on screen or being written about. I am very content and satisfied,”

Now there is no need for her to do any kind of film for the sake of publicity and being in the limelight. This can be seen from her latest film Bell Bottom where she is playing the role of former Indian Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. She is unrecognized from her look in the film and her mannerisms also match the character. Bell Bottom will release in theatres on 19 August.
