The health of King Charles III is progressively deteriorating, which has led the Buckingham Palace officials to keep a regular updated plan for his impending funeral – preparations for which started the day after Queen Elizabeth was buried, said insiders.

The 75- year- old monarch has remained largely out of public eye, ever since he has contracted cancer in February. The lowkey appearance is being maintained largely to hide his declining condition with multiple sources telling The Daily Beast that the situation is “not good.”

“Of course he is determined to beat it and they are throwing everything at it. Everyone is staying optimistic, but he is really very unwell. More than they are letting on,” a source described as an old friend of the royal family told the outlet.

King Charles has never revealed what cancer he has been diagnosed with, but he has admitted that it is not prostate, which is one of the most treatable disease.

The aides of King Charles are regularly reviewing copies of several hundred pages documenting outlining his funeral. The detailed document, which has been named Operation Menai Bridge, was created a day after Queen Elizabeth was buried on September 8, 2022. It uses her funeral details to ensure Charles have a smooth one.
