Kesari Chapter 2 Trailer: A Riveting Courtroom Drama Unfolds
The trailer for Kesari Chapter 2 has finally arrived, and it promises a hard-hitting historical courtroom drama. Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and backed by Karan Johar, the film stars Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday in key roles.
The trailer opens with Akshay Kumar’s C. Sankaran Nair interrogating General Dyer about the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. As Dyer labels the victims “terrorists,” Nair counters with an emotional argument about the innocence of the newborns and the unarmed victims. The visuals vividly capture the horrors of the massacre, setting a powerful tone for the legal battle that follows.
Madhavan appears as Neville McKinley, the opposition lawyer facing off against Nair in court, while Ananya Panday makes a strong impact as Dilreet Gill, a female Indian lawyer challenging societal norms. Her powerful line, “Why are you surprised? Doesn’t your England have queens?”, adds to the film’s feminist undertones.
With high production value, gripping performances, and a compelling narrative, Kesari Chapter 2 promises an intense legal drama revisiting one of India’s darkest historical events.
The film is set to release in theaters on April 18, 2025.
