Kendall Jenner’s see-through Met Gala after-party look may be among her most daring to date

Kendall Jenner turned heads in a daring see-through dress at the Met Gala after-party. The model, who had already made a statement on the red carpet in a black and white Marc Jacobs bodysuit, stole the show again in a sheer sequin bodysuit with a black harness, knickers accents and pearl straps.

Kendall Jenner has had a busy few day in the news, confirming her long-rumored romance with Bad Bunny and making an impact on the Met Gala red carpet in a black and white Marc Jacobs bodysuit worn with towering platform boots. But the model didn’t stop there, as she showed up to a Met after-party sporting a dress that kept all eyes on her.

At first sight, Kendall’s after-party outfit may be mistaken for a vintage Chanel piece, notably a look from the brand’s spring/summer 1994 collection (worn on the runway by supermodel Nadja Auermann). Nensi Dojaka, a London-based designer, devised the costume, which included a sheer sequin bodysuit with a black harness and knickers detailing, as well as pearl straps. “Our tribute recreation of one of Karl’s iconic looks,” Dojaka captioned a photo on Instagram.

Kendall Jenner isn’t one to shy away from a barely-there look, especially on Met Gala night. For example, in 2021, the model walked the renowned steps of the Metropolitan Museum in a nude Givenchy haute couture fish-tail gown adorned with crystals. Kendall wore a translucent organza skirt and top with floral appliqué to the after-parties last year, revealing a silk satin Miu Miu bra and knickers pair beneath.

Naked dresses were less common on the autumn/winter 2023 runways than in previous seasons, as precision-cut tailoring and investment separates from brands such as Ferragamo, Bottega Veneta, and The Row ultimately supplanted all things transparent. However, celebrity wardrobes continue to be dominated by sheer looks that leave little to the imagination. Kendall’s bold after-party ensemble is also worth a second look.
