In Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, directed by Zoya Akhtar in 2011, Katrina Kaif wowed her audience with a bike sequence. Her character can be seen driving after the boy’s car to get to Hrithik Roshan’s car. The actress discussed how she picked up riding a bike in a recent interview with Mashable India.
Katrina said, “I did Zindagi Naa Milega Dobara, that was a road trip to Spain. It is a life-changing experience, that’s all I can say.”
Kaif went on to say that she had ridden motorcycles at Bandra Reclamation in the past. “I had learnt a little bit here on Reclamation [Bandra] when you used to be able to ride bikes late night.” She remained silent and replied, “That will remain a secret,” when asked who taught her how to ride a bike.
She also disclosed that on her days off, the team had sent her to Spain and the Ducati training school. Katrina’s comfort level with motorcycles increased as a result of all of these trainings. She enjoyed riding her bike so much that she became an avid rider when she got back to Mumbai from the filming.
She added that, “After shooting the movie, when I came back to Bombay, I was so into riding bikes! I tried twice from my house in Bandra Yash Raj and that was it. I tried once and I was terrified the whole way. I just found it too overwhelming – the traffic, everything was too overwhelming. The second time I tried, and that was the last time I tried.”
The Tiger 3 actress disclosed in the same interview that she only feels at ease in SUVs and gets car sick in smaller cars. In addition, Kaif disclosed that her first vehicle was a used Toyota.
Professionally, Katrina most recently starred in the action film Tiger 3 with Salman Khan. Key parts in the YRF spy world are played by Emraan Hashmi and Kumud Mishra in the Maneesh Sharma film.
