Ranveer Allahbadia has been facing massive backlash for his comments on Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. His remarks about parents and sex has shocked everyone, following which several stars from Bollywood industry have been reacting to it and even the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, has slammed the YouTubers over it.
However, there are some who have come out in support of the social media influencers, citing that there much more bigger issues in the country to deal with rather than Ranveer’s comment. After Uorfi Javed, Kashish Kapoor has shared a video where she has questioned why he is being criticised so much as it was not a crime he committed.
In the video, she stated, “Beer Biceps yaani Ranveer ne jo joke maara tha, that was not even an original. Aise weird questions internet pe chalte aa rahe hain. I do understand ki India, however, vaisi country nahi hai. Toh yahan pe hume bohot careful hona padta hai with what content you put out. Toh uss context main, the consumers have all the right to criticise Ranveer, Apoorva or Samay. But what is the level of that criticism? When does criticism become blatant hate and you jump on that bandwagon to hate those people, simply because they have done something we don’t like?”
Kashish agrees that the jokes were not good and people can condemn and criticise it but filing an FIR was not right as it was not a crime.
