Kartik Aaryan recently discussed his romance with his Love Aaj Kal co-star Sara Ali Khan as well as his long period of singledom following their breakup. Following director Karan Johar’s confirmation that Sara Ali Khan and Kartik dated before breaking up, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 actor addressed his romantic situation.
In an interview with Film Companion, Kartik stated: “Mai pichle sava saal se single hoon, baaki mujhe kuch nahi pataa (I have been single since the past 1.25 years, I don’t know about anything else).” When the interviewer suggested that the actor is very precise with his timeline, he added, “I have been single for the past 1 year. I am not reducing the time period slowly…it just was not precise.”
At least twice so far in the current seventh season of Koffee With Karan, Sara Ali Khan has mentioned Kartik Aaryan by calling him her “ex.” Kartik expressed his pride at being so well-liked on the rapid-fire segment of the celebrity talk show in a previous interview.
While Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan were filming Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal 2, rumours circulated that they were dating. The pair have only ever made this movie. They allegedly split up just before the movie’s premiere. The fact that they had dated was brought up by Karan Johar during Sara’s visit on Koffee With Karan, albeit the actors remained silent about it.
