Kartik Aaryan, who has been the recipient of immense praise for his performance in latest release Chandu Champion, has opened up about being an outsider and the struggle it takes to grab opportunities.
Despite rising to fame and success, the actor acknowledged that unique challenges comes his way, since he does not have any family connections. His conversation shed further light on nepotism debate and the dynamics of the film industry.
Kartik, who rose to fame with his breakout role in Pyaar Ka Punchnama, has become one of the most bankable stars in the industry. However, he remains acutely aware of his outsider label.
During an interview with GQ, he expressed that gaining recognition and opportunities is often more difficult for those who do not come from film families. “It’s harder to get the opportunities, or your work recognized when you’re not from the industry, and that does end up affecting you,” he stated.
The Shehzada actor explained that recognizing his outsider label is not a weakness but rather a testament to his hard work and resilience. He continued that it takes a lot of “introspection” to realize that being an outsider is not a weakness.
Meanwhile, on the work front, the actor will be next seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, wherein he will share screen space with Vidya Balan and Triptii Dimri.
