This October, filmmaker Karan Johar returns with his latest feature, Koffee and Konscience. Since the advertisement for his iconic chat show Koffee With Karan made news last week, entertainment portals and fan groups have been buzzing with speculation about who will grace the couch.
The internet is rife with rumours about everything from actor-director duos to real-life couples, siblings to supposed pairings. In such cases, Kartik Aaryan’s name is making the rounds. It’s possible that the Bhool Bhulaiyya actor will appear on the sofa in Season 8 of KWK.
It is also believed that the actor and director will address and clear the air about their much-discussed fallout during Dostana 2. According to a popular entertainment website, the two are eager to put their differences aside and renew their relationship. Although some are wondering who would accompany the actor on the show, some believe that Kartik will appear alone.
Despite their feud, Kartik and Karan appeared in public together on multiple occasions. Onstage, the two, along with a slew of other Bollywood celebrities, performed ‘The Punjaabban Song’ from Jug Jugg Jeeyo at an awards ceremony in 2022. Furthermore, the two posed for photos and joined panel discussions at the just-completedcompleted Melbourne International Film Festival.
Previously, the actor appeared in the show in season 6 alongside Luka Chuppi co-star Kriti Sanon. Season 8 of Koffee With Karan will premiere on Disney+Hotstar on October 26.
Following the phenomenal success of his previous release, Satyaprem Ki Katha, in which he co-starred with Kiara Advani, the actor is currently filming Chandu Champion, which will be helmed by Kabir Khan. The film, which has music by Pritam, will be released in theatres on June 14, 2024.
He also has ‘Captain India,’ ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, and Chandoo Mondeti’s sci-fi thriller in the works.
