Bollywood Actress Karisma Kapoor clocks 30 years in the film industry today!
30 years ago, another member of Bollywood’s Kapoor family, stepped into the industry and flourished glamorously as the rest.
The now 47-year actress has been part several blockbuster 90s films, from comedies Raja Babu (1994), Saajan Chale Sasural (1996) to romantic dramas like Raja Hindustani, her National Award-winning turn in Dil Toh Paagal Hai and 1999’s Hum Saath-Saath Hain.
In her prime, the actress became the favourite heroine of filmmaker David Dhawan, post she which featured in the “no 1” series of the filmmaker – Coolie No. 1 (1995), Hero No. 1 with Govinda, and Biwi No. 1 in 1999 opposite Salman Khan.
Karisma shared her 30-year-long journey by way of a post on Instagram. The posted video featured some of her popular hit songs from Raja Hindustani, Dil Toh Paagal Hai, and Judwaa, among others.
“Replaying the memories with a dose of the 90’s,” Karisma captioned the video, with the hashtag ‘Thirty years of gratitude’ and ’90s Jam’.
After a successful career of 13 years, the actress took a sabbatical when she married industrialist Sunjay Kapur. A decade later, the couple filed for divorce. They share daughter Samaira (16) and son Kiaan (11).
Karisma was last seen on the OTT platform, as she made her digital debut in a web-series called ‘Mentalhood’
