Kareena Kapoor has shared what she would have told her younger self: that she would eventually marry her sister Karisma’s co-star and have two kids. Karisma Kapoor has acted with Saif in a few films. Kareena and Saif got married in 2012.
At the Netflix India Actors Roundtable, Kareena was asked by host Rajeev Masand what advice she would give her younger self who was just starting. She responded, “I wish someone told me that you’re going to marry your sister’s co-star and have children with him.”
As a joke, Sidharth Malhotra added that Kareena would tell to her younger self, “Main apni favourite hoon, favourite thi, aur favourite rahungi,” referring to Kareena’s well-known line from Imtiaz Ali’s romantic comedy hit, Jab We Met from 2009.
Kareena laughed heartily when Sidharth questioned her at the roundtable about her sultry kiss scene with Saif Ali Khan from Rensil D’Silva’s 2009 crime movie Kurbaan. “But we were already dating. We were auditioning. So that worked out well,” she added.
On the sets of Vijay Krishna Acharya’s 2008 crime movie Tashan, Kareena and Saif began dating. Later, they shared a leading role in the spy thriller Agent Vinod (2012), directed by Sriram Raghavan and starring Kurbaan. The two were married in the same year and gave birth to Taimur Ali Khan in 2016 and Jeh aka Jehangir Ali Khan in 2021.
Kareena will be in The Buckingham Murders, The Crew, and Singham Again, while Saif’s upcoming film is Devara. Karisma can also be seen in Murder Mubarak and Brown.
