Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has turned down films that have gone on to become huge hits. “There is no heroine like me who has left more films than I have, and given them on a platter to everybody and said go do it. I think I am mad…I am like if I don’t want to do a film I will not to do it. I would sit at home and enjoy, party and travel,” Kareena remarked.
Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai

Kareena Kapoor initially portrayed the character of Sonia but she just left the movie, a few days after filming began. Then, Ameesha Patel, a newbie, took her position. After Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai became a huge hit, Patel instantly rose to fame. Instead, Kareena chose Refugee.
Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam

In Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali had intended to cast Kareena Kapoor, but for whatever reason, things didn’t work out. Therefore, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was cast instead.
Kal Ho Na Ho

Kal Ho Na Ho was another career miscalculation. Yes, Kareena declined to appear in KHNH as Naina. One explanation is that she didn’t think Karan Johar was paying enough.
Queen

Kareena also turned down Queen. “In the last five months, I think I have said no to six movies because I don’t want to do anything that’s not great,” Bebo had previously stated in an interview with a major daily.
Ram-Leela

When asked why she turned down the role of Ram-Leela from director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Kareena responded right away, making it clear that she had no interest in the film. As she genuinely thinks that everyone can find employment, missing out on one movie won’t make her any less of a superheroine.
Dil Dhadakne Do

The Begum of Pataudi explained why she didn’t star in Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do, “It’s my loss because I love Zoya, but couldn’t be part of her film. I am dying to work with her. Inshallah, this isn’t the last film she is going to make, and it’s not the last film that I’m not able to do. Aage bhi bahut padi hai zindagi (there’s life ahead). Whenever she has a role for me, I’ll definitely do it.”
