Kareena Kapoor Khan has recorded her statement to Mumbai police recalling the attack on her actor husband Saif Ali Khan at their Bandra West residence during the wee hours of Thursday. She stated that she saw the intruder repeatedly stabbing Saif.

“The attacker was aggressive. I saw him attack Saif repeatedly… Our priority was to take Saif to the hospital,” she told the police.

She further mentioned that the attacker ran from the spot and did not take any valuables with him.

As per her statement, Saif was trying to protect their children, Taimur and Jeh. When the actor could not reach Jeh, he attacked Saif multiple times, she said.

Hours post the incident, Kareena went to her sister Karisma Kapoor’s house and Saif underwent surgery. She said, “After the attack, I was terrified, so Karisma took me to her house.”

For those unaware, Saif sustained six stab wounds by the attacker at his Mumbai’s residence, and was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital. The attack had left the actor bleeding and he underwent surgery as his spinal fluid leaked out after shreds of the intruder’s knife lodged into his spine.

The doctors at the hospital have confirmed that the actor is out of danger, and is now recovering well. He is expected to be discharged in a couple of days.
