Kareena Kapoor Khan in her 20 years of Bollywood career has delivered some exceptional performances. But one character which stays with us and is one of the most loved characters, ‘Poo’ from Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
In her recent conversation with Haroon Rashid from BBC Asian network, Bebo spoke about her journey in Hindi Film Industry. She recalled her journey, talked about her debut in ‘Refugee’ in the 2000s. She spoke how Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Jab we met became a cult.
When asked about the character Poo and why it has so much of impact on youth, the actor said, “You know actresses will always kind of do different kind of parts, but you have never seen a character like Poo, you have never seen someone who is so blazing and who just speaks her mind, it just connects instantly with the youth of every generation “. When asked did she feel stupid while acting out the scene on which Kareena replied, ” Yaa, I was like Karan what are you making me do?”, she further added, ” Karan said that I am going walk away with this film, and I was like what are you saying”. It turned out that Karan knew what impact ‘Poo’ is going to make on the younger generation already.
Kareena ahead in the conversation discussed about her 20 years and how she has done everything, she summarises her journey by saying, “it has been an accelerating and an overwhelming journey also, because there’s been so many highs and as many lows but 2 decades are not enough to experience for kind of passion I have for my craft”
