After investigating several Bollywood celebrities  inSushant Singh Rajput’s death case, Mumbai police is expected to now question Karan Johar this week in order to record his statement. Meanwhile, Johar’s production media house, Dharma Production’s CEO Apoorva Mehta has been asked to record his statement in regards with the case on Tuesday.

Sushant was found dead at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on June 14, leading to a heated ‘nepotism’ debate in the Hindi film industry.

Filmmaker, Mahesh Bhat was also called in for investigation by Mumbai Police at Santacruz Police station. Bhat in his statement informed that he met the deceased actor only twice, once in November 2018, and 2019.
In a significant development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 26 acknowledged a letter by BJP leader and noted lawyer Subramanian Swamy, seeking a CBI enquiry in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.

Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on Sunday had said that producer-director Karan Johar’s manager has also been called to record the statement and if needed, Johar himself will be asked to do so.
The Mumbai Police officials are dwelling on the possibility of professional rivalry as one of the reason apart from clinical depression diagnosis leading to the actor’s demise.
