Karan Johar addressed constant bullying, with fans wondering if real-life star couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s marriage was troubled. Due to these responses, Karan Johar responded in the most recent episode by saying that he thought it was one of the most open and heartwarming conversations he ever had with Deepika and Ranveer.
In addressing the issue of trolling on social media with the guests of his most recent show, Arjun Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur, Karan Johar stated, “I felt that it was one of the most honest episodes and the most heartfelt episodes I did with Deepika and Ranveer. I think all three of us kind of came clean on so much of our emotional heft, so many of our feelings. And then there was a ridiculous kind of aftereffect. I just want to put it out there that episode angered me, and the reaction angered me. I thought it was one of our best episodes. They were outstandingly honest. They were earnest. They spoke so much. They shared so much. They were so gracious. And then you’re f*cking talking about some nonsense. I am like, ‘What do you know about somebody else’s personal life and marriage?’ Tu apne ghar pe dekh na (Look at the issues at your own house) is what I wanted to tell them. I wanted to show them my f*cking middle finger! I am like, you know, just shut up.”
This season, Deepika and Ranveer shared a couch on Koffee amid allegations of a breakdown in their marriage. For the first time, they also released unique videos from their wedding films and discussed their love life, courtship, marriage, and the difficulties they faced. A lot of people criticised the episode, saying it was an attempt to mend the rifts in their marriage.
