Karan Johar, who helms one of the biggest production houses in Bollywood, Dharma Productions has faced a lot of hate after Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise. Karan has usually been very candid and always takes trolls on his social media handles as a pinch of salt. He is known for all his controversial statements and he always speaks his mind and is loved massively.
However, Karan and many other big names faced a lot of scrutiny after Sushant’s sad demise. Many people pointed out at nepotism in the industry for Sushant to take such a huge step. Several star kids, including Johar, lost many followers on Instagram and have restricted comments on their posts. Sonakshi Sinha even deactivated her Twitter handle.
According to a recent report by Bollywood Hungama, Karan is shattered with the hate he has been receiving on social media after Sushant’s death. A close friend of Karan revealed that he has been very disturbed by these trolls now. Before this incident, he had developed a thick skin for the trolls and took them very lightly but this time he termed the trolls as “brutal.” Many people have blamed Karan for Sushant’s drastic decision and Karan is not being able to take it lightly.
Moreover, this time his 3-year-old children, Yash and Roohi, have received death threats and many actors launched by Dharma like Ananya Panday, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan have been receiving a lot of hate on their social media handles.
When the close friend was asked if Karan would be making any statements soon, his friend said that Karan is not in the correct mental space to come out and talk about it in public. The friend also added that whenever Karan discusses this on the phone, he’s always in tears and asks what he has done to deserve this kind of hatred.
