Apart from movies, Kangana Ranaut stays in media due to her unending controversies. Kangana has given a lot of bold statements about almost everyone from B-town but this time a legal action was taken towards her when she mentioned Javed Akhtar’s name in an interview with one of the news channels while talking about her dispute with her ex Hritik Roshan.
Javed Akhtar filed a defamation suit against Kangana for dragging his name in the middle, after which she put a plea in Andheri Magistrate Court appealing them to remove the charges against her.
Kangana was issued a bailable warrant earlier for not appearing at the court even after being summoned. Therefore, the actress’s plea has been denied where she is trying to seek suspension from all the hearings.
However, Kangana’s lawyer has said that they will challenge defamation suit in higher court.
On the work front, Kangana will be seen in her upcoming movie ‘Thalaivi’ which is a biography on the life of politician and film actress J. Jayalalithaa. The film has been directed by L. Vijay. The film is all set to release on 23rd April 2021.
