Kangana Ranaut was recently slapped and abused at Chandigarh airport by a woman CISF constable, Kulvinder Kaur. The videos of the incident has gone viral on the internet, wherein the constable can be seen saying that she did because of the actress turned politician’s comments towards farmers’ protest in Delhi.
Several Bollywood actors have reacted to the incident. Here’s how a few of them have reacted.
Shekhar Suman:
The Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar actor has voiced his support for Kangana, stating that the situation could have been handled differently. “That is extremely wrong and very unfortunate. No one should have to experience this. It is not acceptable for anyone to express themselves in this manner; it’s illegal,” he said. The actor added that expressing your opposition on a stance in such a way is inappropriate.
Anupam Kher:
Veteran actor Anupam Kher and his son Sikander Kher have shared similar views on it. “I am very saddened that a woman took advantage of her position and did such a thing. This is absolutely wrong,” stated Mr. Anupam. He labelled the act as “illegal” and continued that though her anger was justified, she should not have taken advantage of her position.
Shabana Azmi:
The veteran actress took to her official X account, formerly known as Twitter, to defend the actress. She wrote, “I have no love lost for #Kangana Ranaut. But I can’t find myself joining this chorus of celebrating ‘the slap’.”

Hours before Azmi posted her statement on X, Kangana had slammed the Bollywood industry on her Instagram Story for staying silent over her slap incident. However, the story was soon deleted by her.
Vishal Dadlani:
The music composer shared his views on the incident, saying, “I do not ever support violence, but I absolutely understand the need of this @official_cisf personnel’s anger.” He added that he will ensure that the woman constable has a job waiting for her, if any action is to be taken against her.
Post the slapgate incident, the reports had suggested that Kaur was suspended from her duty.
