Kangana Ranaut was recently struck with a horrifying incident as she was slapped by a woman CISF constable at Chandigarh over her remarks regarding farmers’ protest in Delhi. The actress turned politician was traveling to Delhi from Chandigarh on June 6, and that is when she was hit in her face by woman constable, Kulvinder Kaur.
While the constable has been suspended by officials, Kangana took to her social media handle to complain about Bollywood celebrities not publicly condemning the assault. However, many stars such as Alia Bhatt and Hrithik Roshan have silently reacted to this act.
In a recent Instagram post, journalist Faye D’Souza condemns the attack and stated that violence is not the way to counter someone else’s stand. “Especially not in our country that was born of Gandhi’s ideals of non-violence. It doesn’t matter how much we disagree with views and statements made by someone; we cannot react with violence and we should not condone it,” read her post.
The journalist added that it very dangerous, especially when such behavior is being seen by a personnel in uniform.
Soon, Bollywood stars such as Alia, Bhumi Pednekar, Hrithik, Arjun Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Nimrat Kaur, Zoya Akhtar, and Radhika Apte reacted to the post by liking it.
