Kangana Ranaut and Javed Akhtar has finally ended their five years long legal battle as they reached a settlement. The legal battle, which began in 2020, after Javedji intervened and asked Kangana to apologize to Roshans. Back then, the actress was in between of a public spat with Hrithik Roshan over the exchange of their alleged emails. Kangana had alleged on a TV show that she was threatened by the veteran lyricist to speak publicly about her issue with Hrithik. Thus, Javedji filed a defamation suit against her.
The actress has now shared a rare picture with the veteran writer on her Instagram Story. Along with the photo, she wrote, “Today Javedji and I have resolved our legal matter (defamation case) through mediation, in the mediation Javedji has been very kind and gracious, he also agreed to write songs for my next directorial.”
Post Javedji’s defamation case against her, the actress had also filed a defamation case against him, while accusing him of “extortion and criminal intimidation.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana recently made her debut as director with her recently released movie, Emergency, wherein she played the role of late former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
