Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut made a remarkable debut as a politician as she was elected from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, seat in the Lok Sabha Elections 2024. Days after her victory, she was spotted at Chandigarh airport, where she was apparently “slapped” by a female CISF officer.
The video of the alleged incident went viral on the internet. While it was not confirmed earlier, the four time National Award winner has released a video statement, wherein she confirmed that she is safe, and was attacked on her face by an official at Chandigarh airport.
The incident occurred at 3.30 pm, when she was headed to Delhi.

The actress also mentioned that upon confronting the female officer, the latter told her that it was because she supported “farmer’s protest.” Kangana ended her note saying, “My concern is that the terrorism that is which is growing in Punjab, how do we handle that?”
