Shefali Jariwala, who rose to fame with the iconic 2002 remix song “Kaanta Laga,” has tragically passed away at the age of 41 following a cardiac arrest. According to a report by journalist Vickey Lalwani, Shefali was rushed to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri on Friday but was declared dead on arrival.

Hospital sources confirmed that Shefali had already passed away before reaching the emergency room. She was accompanied by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi, and three others at the time. A receptionist at the hospital stated, “She was already gone when they brought her here.” The hospital’s Resident Medical Officer declined to comment further, citing patient confidentiality, while another doctor, Dr. Sushant, later confirmed her death and said the body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem.

Beyond her early music video fame, Shefali transitioned into television and reality shows, including Nach Baliye 5 and 7, Bigg Boss 13, and the web series “Baby Come Naa” (2018). Her most recent acting role was in the 2024 TV show “Shaitani Rasmein.” She continued to model, post swimwear photos, and host events in 2025.

Shefali had previously opened up about her struggle with epilepsy, revealing she experienced her first seizure at age 15 but had remained seizure-free for several years through medication and lifestyle changes.

Her sudden demise has left friends, family, and fans in shock, with tributes pouring in across social media platforms. Shefali is survived by her husband Parag Tyagi. The couple married in 2015. She was earlier married to Harmeet Singh from 2004 to 2009.
