Johnny Lever and wife Sujatha celebrate 36th marriage anniversary

The pioneer of stand-up comedy in India, Johnny Lever is celebrating his 36th marriage anniversary with wife Sujatha Lever. The couple got married in 1984 and are doting parents to 2 kids, Jamie and Jesse. Jamie is also a stand-up comic and Jesse is mostly like to follow his father’s footsteps in Hindi Film Industry.

Johnny has acted in more than 350 films. Due to his financial condition, he left his studies after 7th standard and started, selling pens on the streets of Bombay and performing mimicry of Bollywood stars.
Johnny married Sujatha before getting into Film Industry. He got his first break in a film called ‘Love 86’, which got released in 1986.

It was not always flowery for the couple. Johnny and Sujatha’s son was diagnosed with Malignant Tumor in his neck, due to which Johnny left doing films and turned to the Bible,
“It was God’s will. I had always been a religious person, but one incident changed my life. My son was diagnosed with throat tumour. I was helpless and turned to God for help. I stopped working in films and spent all my time praying for him. Ten days later, when he was taken for a test, the doctors were surprised because cancer had vanished. It was the beginning of a new life for me” said Johnny. It was a hard time for Johnny and Sujatha.

Johnny rose to fame with his character Babulal, from film ‘Baazigar’. Johny lever was last seen in ‘Housefull 4’. We wish Johnny and Sujatha Lever a very happy marriage anniversary.
