Kit Harington in an interview mentioned “mental health difficulties” which he faced due to the character he played

Well if you do not know Kit Harington then you must be living under the rock for sure. He was the one who played the legendary role of John Snow in Game of Thrones. The show became the biggest show in the number of viewers and popularity in history. But this success made Kit Harington mentally unwell as well.

In the recent chat on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show Kit shared, ” I went through, kind of some mental health difficulties after Thrones and during the end of the Thrones, to be honest. And I think it was directly to do with the nature of the show and what I’ve been doing for years,”

He added, “I think I took, sort of, a break after Thrones where, so, I don’t want to work for a year I want to concentrate on myself. I think I’m really happy I did that.”

The role of John Snow had a lot of complexity which demanded more than just preparation from the actor. And Kit Harington was kind of perfect for John Snow as if you can’t imagine anyone else.

On the popularity of the show, Kit said, “It’s been a part of the journey since it finished, was just becoming proud of that show and not running away from what it was and who I played in it, but just owning it and being proud of everything about it, really.”

His connection with the show is even more personal because he married Ross Leslie, who played the role of Ygritte in GOT. Both of them have announced becoming parents as Ross is now pregnant.
