Earlier, there were reports about how Mumbai Saga director Sanjay Gupta postponed the schedule of Mumbai Saga. The film which features John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Prateik Babbar was supposed to be complete by mid-August, because 10 days of filming is pending.
Earlier, the reports suggested that the shoot’s location, which was Hyderabad, was being changed in the wake of COVID-19. Now, once again, Mumbai Saga is in the thinking phase as rumours suggest the makers might go for direct-to-web release.
Mid-day quoted a close source saying, “Mumbai Saga was originally envisioned as a big-screen outing, with Amazon Prime Video on board as the film’s digital exhibitor. However, with the theatres showing no signs of reopening anytime soon, producer Bhushan Kumar is contemplating premiering it on the streaming platform. The discussion on the financials has begun, but the two parties have yet to agree on a figure.”
Final confirmation of the digital release is still awaited, but for now the fans are excited by the news of Mumbai Saga joining other big-screen spectacles 83, Radhe and Sooryavanshi in taking the digital route amid COVID-19.
