John Abraham has taken it upon himself for the welfare of animals in Nepal. The actor has appealed to the government of Nepal to cancel the Chitwan Elephant Festival. As per the reports of India Today, he wrote a letter to Nepal’s Ministry of Culture, and urged the authorities to replace such events with ethical wildlife tourism initiative.

He mentioned that these changes would enhance the country’s standing as a “world leader in eco-tourism while ensuring that your wildlife is celebrated and protected.”

In his letter, John expressed his admiration for the beauty of Nepal, penning, “I am writing to you not only as an actor and advocate for animals but also as someone who holds Nepal close to his heart… Nepal is a nation I deeply admire, and it is this admiration that compels me to reach out to you today.”

“As someone who has witnessed the beauty of elephants in their natural habitat, I can tell you that they symbolize strength, grace, and wisdom. They are a national treasure in so many ways, and Nepal has the opportunity to lead the way in showing the world how to respect and protect these magnificent animals,” he added.
