According to reports, Jennifer Aniston is going to throw an intimate event for her Friends castmates. This exclusive gathering, which is being held in her Bel-Air residence during the holidays, is meant to pay tribute to Matthew Perry, who unfortunately passed away earlier this year. After Perry, best known for his role as Chandler Bing, was discovered dead in his Pacific Palisades home on October 28, an investigation into his death’s circumstances was launched. The whole ensemble of the hit sitcom, including Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, and Matt LeBlanc, attended the funeral ceremony last month. However, a new rumour indicates that the Friends may get together once again for a unique and private reunion.
According to OK Magazine, Jennifer wanted to make the Friends cast’s holiday celebration extra memorable. The magazine was informed by a source, “It was always their plan to get together just the five of them, so they could feel comfortable about saying whatever’s on their minds.” This exclusive, secret event is a celebration of their beloved co-star, Matthew Perry. Though felt, his departure will bring back memories of genuine laughter.
“They’ll reminisce about some of their favourite times with Matt and share stories and laugh and cry,” the insider continued. Speaking more on the significance of the particular event, they added that they didn’t cry all the way during Matt’s funeral out of respect for his family.
According to the autopsy report, Matthew Perry’s death was caused by a deadly combination of ketamine overdose and other narcotics. Nobody is unaware of the late actor’s long-term struggles with substance abuse; he even filmed “Friends” while inebriated.
The insider told the media that the cast of Friends knew about his struggles and expressed concern about what more they could have done. Instead of moping over the past, though, they plan to honour their friend during their get-together.
According to the autopsy report The Blast obtained, “The cause of death for 54-year-old actor Matthew Langford Perry as the acute effects of ketamine. Contributing factors in Mr. Perry’s death include drowning, coronary artery disease, and the effects of buprenorphine.”
