Animal was released in 2023 and went on to became a blockbuster. The crime thriller movie which starred Ranbir Kapoor also had a number of controversy moments as some people did not like. Of course, Javed Akhtar, the screenwriter has not spared the crime thriller show as well in the past. Recently, Javed saab was asked if Ranbir would ever be a star like Amitabh Bachchan because of Animal, he said that he would write a film for him.
In an interview with The Indian Express, the veteran lyricist and writer pointed out to the fact that there is no more the ‘angry young man’. He said people who worked with Sr. Bachchan earlier were playing certain roles and added that there was a lot of pain when one is angry. As much as the writer denied that he was in pain he stated that everybody could see it behind his anger.
He explained further, “Then they forgot about the hurt, and there was only anger, which was crude. And that is how the angry young man went out of the scene.” He further said that today, there were no big stars because there were no big characters.
Apart from Ranbir, Animal also featured Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor.
