If one singer whose songs have topped our bucket list, then Sunidhi Chauhan is surely one of the leading names. Since her debut in 1996 film, Shastra in which she sang the song, “Ladki Deewani Ladka Deewana“. Since then she hasn’t looked back and grabbed every achievement and accolade in singing. She had grabbed three Filmfare awards and recognition in the international arena as well. Her singing was also used for animation films like Chhota Bheem for making it popular.

But all this achievement doesn’t hallucinate her but she says “it’s just the beginning”. For her, she has just begun her career and feels proud of the decisions in life she has taken. Talking to Pinkvilla she said, “’m happy to have been a part of so many changes that happened over the years. Completing 25 years has given me the confidence to keep doing what I love to do.”

But while talking about her personal journey she revealed that her initial passion was for dancing. She said, “I wanted to learn dancing. But my singing was noticed a little more than dancing. When people around me started telling me that I sing well, I realised that I wanted to learn it. In Delhi, children would learn singing in groups. But I wanted a special kind of attention from my guru. I, instead, started doing shows. Once I started singing in films, I didn’t get the chance to learn music,”

After excelling in singing Sunidhi is all set to experiment in new areas such as acting. She even featured in Playing Priya, a short film directed by Arif Ali.
