At the Mumbai airport, filmmaker Karan Johar was stopped he attempted to enter without presenting the required documents. As the paparazzi were busy taking pictures of him on Tuesday, KJo raced through the airport without showing his ticket or identification. At the gate, he was promptly halted by airport staff. Many on the internet are upset with the filmmaker after seeing the video of him being stopped at the airport go viral.
Karan Johar can be seen entering the airport’s entrance gate in a video that a pap posted on Instagram. A guard, though, stops him and asks him to return. Karan first appears confused and queries what happened. He returns and retrieves his ID and airline tickets from his suitcase to provide to the security guard after realising what the argument was about. He then returns in a casual manner. Black cargo trousers and a white blazer are what Karan is observed to be wearing.
Social media users responded to the event in the comments section of a paparazzo post that featured the footage. “These people feel so entitled that they think there’s no need to show documents or follow the rules! Hadd hai,” one user commented.
“He was so busy doing the airport catwalk that he forgot to show his papers to the security guy!” a second user wrote. “Who is he to walk in airport without showing ID?” another user asked.
It is unknown at this time if Karan is departing the city for work or a vacation. He just finished shooting Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, his forthcoming movie. He commented, “It’s been 7 years since I directed a film,” and shared some behind-the-scenes images to make the announcement. “I embarked on a journey of a film that I had to stop mid way for various unavoidable reasons and then the germ of #rockyaurranikipremkahani came to me from a real life family anecdote ( something my father once told me about ) and then my soldiers helped me create everything I wanted to with my 7th feature … I was blessed with the best team … a team so full of love that bidding them goodbye was not easy….. thank you to each and every one of the core team that helped me through thick, thin, Covid and bad weather.”
