Director Faruk Kabir is glad that his two-month long shooting plan for Lucknow went off more flawlessly than he envisioned. Going for the film Khuda Haafiz Chapter II:Agni Pariksha in the city with an outfit cast, Kabir says he is grateful that everybody among his cast and team was protected from Corona.

Kabir said,“It was a huge challenge for us but thankfully none of us got the disease for as long as we shot here. But we also had all the SOPs and precautions in place while shooting,” who wrapped up the Lucknow plan several days prior.

He added, “It’s again been wonderful shooting in Lucknow. I have been coming here for so many years that this city feels almost like home.”

He further continued,“I didn’t want to show the usual Rumi Darwaza and Imamabada or any one of these new monuments in my film. The look I wanted was of a Lucknow which has not been shown on screen yet. That in itself was a huge challenge because since I’m familiar with the city, I saw the city from a whole different point of view, rather a preconceived notion. So this time, I made myself view the city as a foreign tourist would, seeing the least exposed, unexplored parts of the city, and I must say, Lucknow has surprised me again!”

Searching for a dramatic release for his film, Kabir says he would preferably not be in a rush to deliver the film. “The beginning of next year will see a lot of films released, so I will wait to release mine.”

“I had told Vidyut, when we were shooting the first film, that by the time we shoot the sequel, you will be in love. And when it happened, I reminded him of this prediction of mine. It’s a beautiful thing to have happened while were shooting because I consider Khuda Haafiz a love story. And for a real love story to develop on the sets is truly a blessed thing. I’m so happy for Vidyut and I wish them all the best,” says Kabir.
