Zeenat Aman has been a great asset to Hindi cinema since the 70s. She has ruled over many hearts for decades and showcased exceptional acting skills. The actress seems to be quite active on social media. She never refrains from sharing her thoughts and always expresses her viewpoint. Zeenat recently shared a post on Instagram revealing about her eye surgery.
There have been rumours that Sanjay Khan had hit her, which had led to the damage of the eye. The actress has even shared about it on Simi Garewal’s show saying, “For many years, in my mind, it’s been obliterated because I think that’s what the human mind does. When there is something distinctly unpleasant, you just close your mind to it and pretend that it never happened and you promise yourself that it will never happen again. And that’s how you cope.”
On the other hand, Sanjay Khan released a statement on Hrishikesh Kanna’s show saying he has been accused of hurting her eye many times. But there is evidence through the films she has done in ‘81, ‘82, ’83, and ’84 that her eye is completely fine. However, with time, the actress became squint as her mother did go through the same phase. He termed this change as hereditary.
He further said that there were also allegations of him slapping the actress which were false. Sanjay Khan said, “This was blasphemy,” and the entire issue was exaggerated. He said that after learning about this event, Dev Anand and Raj Kapoor didn’t even call him.
Zeenat Aman’s recent post talks about how she has been suffering from an eye problem for over four decades. The actress said that people didn’t want to work with her. But some people stood by her and gave her opportunities.
She captioned the post, “There has been an elephant in the room with me for the past 40 years. It is time to show this elephant the door. I have a condition know as ptosis – the result of an injury I suffered many decades ago that damaged the muscles around my right eye. Over the years, it caused my eyelid to droop further and further. And a few years ago it became so acute that it began to obstruct my vision.”
