3rd August 2021 was the day when Shalini Talwar accused her husband, Yo Yo Honey Singh of domestic violence and sexual assault. Later she also accused his father of torturing her sexually. Till today no update or tweet or any kind of reaction had come from the singer or his family members. But the singer broke the silence in a statement released where he said, “Some of the allegations have been directed at my family – my old parents and younger sister – who have stood by me during some very difficult and trying times and comprise my world. The allegations are cynical and defaming in nature.”
Shalini even accused her father-in-law of entering the room being drunk while she was changing clothes. The case is currently in Delhi court and the matter is being looked into. Honey Singh was earlier arrested several times for drink and drive cases but the matter never became this serious. This time Shalini accuses him of having “casual sex” with multiple women and treating herself as a “farm animal” and even drug abuse. She demanded the court to give her 20 crores as compensation amount and 5 lakh per month for a fully furnished house in Delhi.
Honey from his side addresses the court as superior and has faith in the judiciary. He said, “I strongly refute all the allegations but will not comment any further because the matter is sub-judice before the Court of Law. I have full faith in the judicial system of this country, and I am confident that the truth will be out soon.”
