Laxman Utekar, the filmmaker of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, recently revealed information about his future movie. Utekar, who is well known for his captivating narrative set against the backdrop of small communities, has once again created a story that is sure to capture audiences’ attention. To make his vision come to life this time, he paired Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan.
In an interview with Peepingmoon, Utekar answered the query on everyone’s lips: Why did he choose not to include Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif in this project?
With a mischievous twinkle in his eyes, the director jokingly remarked, “Meri language Katrina ko samajh aayegi tabhi kar paunga (laughs). Aap log ko lagta hai Katrina kabhi chhote see town ki heroine lagegi?”
Translation: “I will be able to work with Katrina only when she understands my language (laughs). Do you think Katrina would ever fit the role of a small-town heroine?”
Delving deeper into his explanation, Utekar shared, “I couldn’t get them on board this time because ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ has a different essence. Personally, I felt that Katrina’s aura and personality wouldn’t quite resonate with the character of a middle-class joint family daughter-in-law. She won’t look like a middle-cllass bahu. But, if there is a future project that aligns with her style, why not?”
This Maddock Films film, supported by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan, demonstrates Utekar’s skill as a director. The movie, which was written by Maitrey Bajpai, Ramiz Khan, and Utekar himself, looks to be a good family movie.
On June 2, 2023, “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke” is scheduled to appear on film, bringing with it a lovely story of love, humour, and relatable moments from the centre of a tiny village.
