Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s highly anticipated series, ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’, is set for release on Netflix on May 1, and it looks like it will live up to all expectations.

The series is set in pre-Independence, British-ruled India, and puts the heroes against an elite family of courtesans. ‘Heeramandi’ has an amazing, stellar cast.

This list contains Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Sanjeeda Shaikh. Fardeen Khan, Adhyayan Suman, and Shekhar Suman all had significant parts in the series.

On Wednesday, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali gave a spectacular premiere, which was attended by many stars like Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Rekha, and Genelia Deshmukh. Genelia was among the first to leave a review for ‘Heeramandi’.

The trailer for ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ premiered earlier this month, taking viewers to a time when courtesans ruled as queens. The series delves into the cultural reality of the namesake district of Heera Mandi through the stories of courtesans and their patrons, set against the volatile backdrop of India’s independence struggle in the 1940s.
