Vicky Kaushal is arguably one of Bollywood’s most popular stars. He launched his career with a bang in the critically acclaimed Masaan (2015) and has since impressed viewers with his versatility.

Vicky is one of the most fascinating actors to watch in Hindi cinema, having won numerous awards and developed a passionate fan base.

However, before becoming an actor, Vicky worked as an assistant director on films such as Gangs of Wasseypur, which resulted in his incarceration.

When the film turned ten years old, the cast and crew were invited to appear on Kapil Sharma’s show. The filmmaker, Anurag Kashyap, later admitted, “We were shooting in a real location without permission. Once we were shooting, we got to know that it’s illegal sand mining. Yes! Sand mining was being done by the mafia, and during this time, Vicky was arrested, but ‘Haramkhor’ director Shlok Sharma one-upped Vicky Kaushal. Moreover, he went to jail twice.”

Anurag Kashyap was joined by the show’s cast, which included Manoj Bajpayee, Piyush Mishra, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Huma Qureshi, Vineet Kumar, and Pankaj Tripathi.

Vicky Kaushal debuted in Bollywood as an associate director for this 2012 film and has since not looked back. The actor celebrates his 36th birthday today, Thursday, May 16.

As fans excitedly await the appearance of their favourite stars in an epic historical drama, Vicky Kaushal just confirmed that filming for the film has concluded.

The film also has Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and Divya Dutta in prominent roles. According to Pinkvilla, actor Neil Bhoopalam has also been cast as a Mughal royal in the film. Chaava is Vicky Kaushal’s second collaboration with director Laxman Utekar, following Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. The film is set to hit theatres on December 6, 2024.

Aside from Chaava, Vicky Kaushal has an impressive list of projects in the works. He will appear in filmmaker Shashank Khaitan’s comedy-drama Mr. Lele, opposite Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar.

In addition, he is set to act in Rajkumar Santoshi’s next film, Lahore 1947, alongside Aamir Khan and Sunny Deol.

Vicky is also in Karan Johar’s next project with Tripti Dimri, titled ‘Bad Newz’ as well as Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Love & War’ with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
