Neha Kakkar is one of the most popular and melodious singing sensations of the country. Her songs like ‘Aankh Marey’ from Simba and ‘Kala Chashma’ have more than 1 billion views on YouTube. Most of her tracks are often found on the trending page and have millions of views. This small-town girl from Rishikesh has made the entire country danced to her tunes. She decided that she wanted to be a singer at the age of four.


Before getting a break in the industry, she used to sing Bhajans and Aartis.

Her father used to sell Samosas for a living.

In 2006, she was a contestant in the second season of a popular singing reality show Indian Idol. Irrespective of not winning the title today, she is the judge for the same show.

Her debut album, ‘I’m a Rockstar’ with music composed by Meet Bros was released in 2008.

However, she made her Bollywood debut with the song ‘Second Hand Jawani’ from Homi Adajania’s Cocktail in 2012.

She has sung for all the Bollywood Biggies but her dream is to sing for actress Madhuri Dixit.

Her favourite Bollywood star is Shah Rukh Khan. She even wrote SRK anthem which took the internet by storm.

The singing sensation is also a social media star with 14 million likes on Facebook and 38.6 million followers on Instagram.

She is one of the highest-paid singers in the country and has performed at more than 1,000 concerts.
